Mountain West Helicopters is currently a contractor to the U.S. government for wildfire suppression. We have held contracts continuously for the past 25 years. Using our fleet of helicopters — which includes the Kaman K1200 K-Max, Bell UH-1H and the Airbus H125 — we can fulfill any firefighting requirement.
Construction — Aerial Crane
Mountain West Helicopters is an industry leader in helicopter construction and heavy lift. We have built ski lifts throughout the United States and have worked for most of the major ski lift manufacturers and ski resorts. Whether at sea level or 12,000 feet mean sea level (MSL), we can fulfill all your construction needs.
Forestry
Helicopter logging has played an important role in the history of Mountain West Helicopters. Recently, we have expanded our forestry efforts into the rehabilitation of severely burned areas and the improvement of wildlife habitats. Our company has become the most experienced aerial mulch applicators in the country.
Government
Mountain West Helicopters supports our state and local governments in their occasional need for helicopter services, such as water source and dam inspection and repair, as well as wildlife transplanting, monitoring and retrieval.
Helicopter Charter
Mountain West Helicopters is a Federal Aviation Administration-approved part 135 charter operator. Our pilots go above and beyond for our customers to ensure that safety is the top priority. Our charter services include utility line patrol, wildlife surveys, seismic surveys, crew transportation and scenic flights.
